A clarification, related to comments by Ed Witten and others at the end of the talk: there are almost certainly processes for which strongly coupled gravity is relevant -- as in the case of scattering processes at LEP, given that it is orbiting the black hole at the center of the galaxy. However, as in this analogy there should be a wide variety of processes for which the strong coupling does not substantially affect calculations.
