From Anti-de Sitter Background to Superconformal World Sheet Symmetry

Solutions of supergravity theories, with Killing vectors and spinors satisfying a super-$adS$ algebra, determine world-volume actions with superconformal symmetry. This connection is made explicit, and makes use of kappa-symmetry and its gauge fixing. For the case of $adS_2$, following the same steps, one obtains `relativistic superconformal mechanics'. The last reference below is nearly overlapping with the talk I gave here.
