Structure of CuGeO3 [M. Hidaka et al., J. Phys.: Condensed Matter 9, 809 (1997)], and the very recently found isostructural CuSiO3 [H. H. Otto and M. Meibohm, to appear in Z. Kristallogr. 1999]. The former was the first inorganic compound in which a spin Peierls transition was found [M. Hase, I. Terasaki, and K. Uchinokura, PRL 70, 3651 (1993)], and the latter has at least a sharp specific heat peak at T* [M. Baenitz, provate commun.].
