The Milky Way Globular Cluster System Revisited
Charles Bonatto (IF-UFRGS, Porto Alegre, RS)

In this work we discuss properties of the Milky Way Globular Cluster system. The present analysis takes into account the most recent determinations of fundamental and astrophysical parameters, such as the distance from the Sun, age, metallicity, structural radii, etc. Special attention is given to the class of low-mass Globular Clusters, especially the infrared ones. Some of these have been recently discovered projected against the dense stellar fields of the Galactic bulge. We also address the issue of the completeness of the Globular Cluster population presently in the Galaxy.
