Group Discussion Meeting No. 11: How MCTDHF Really Works
Dr. Armin Scrinzi, Vienna Univ.

Armin Scrinzi will lead/present a very technical discussion/seminar on the details of the Multi-Configuration Time-Dependent Hartree-Fock (MCTDHF) method. The MCTDHF is based on a straightforward ansatz for solving the time-dependent Schroedinger equation with a few active electrons. Correlation can be included systematically. In principle, the results converge to the exact result. Scrinzi will cover what the ansatz means and why it is particularly relevant for strong field phenomena, point out its strengths and its key difficulties, discuss some of his solutions, and illustrate the method with a few applications.
